I was wondering if anyone has any experience working with payment processors? does anyone have information on any companies that you worked with?
 
welcome to anandtech . . . can you be more specific as to the information you're looking to glean from our mass of life experiences here?
 
I am currently with Authorize.net and Merchant Direct. I get 1.9% on my lowest transactions and like 3.8% on the highest, I'd say the average is 2.3% or so.

I've discovered merchant accounts are a sham, they charge you for stuff not brought up when you sign, and then you have to fight for your money back.

Processors like paypal have higher rates but you don't get this "out of nowhere" crap. The biggest downside to Paypal is they can control what you're allowed to accept payments for.
 
A few good solutions have been suggested in this thread. But, whatever you do, avoid M2 World x Wide at all costs! They're HORRIBLE. All they do is spam forums, trying to increase their traffic. Oh, wait a second...

p.s. why don't you tell all your other spammers not to waste time spamming this site. Because when you do, we report the posts to an anti-spam service and within a bit of time, when you post on other websites, your posts are automatically flagged as spam.
