How can the info behind start-up logo (like Dell's) be paused so you have the time to read the info which includes what bios is being used, amount of ram and what processor is used. This is while booting up WinXp. Thanks in advance
Often (in my experience anyway) you can hit the Pause(/Break) key to do that, surprisingly enough. You just have to be able to hit it quickly enough...
usually when computer just starts keep pressing del. key then u can enter bios and look up/change info (its del. key on most mobos unless its a brand specific like dell/whatever maker) But to pause, what the guy before me said
If it's a Dell or another OEM, in my experience a lot of them prevent you from accessing the BIOS, so stupid consumers don't completely destroy their systems and then cry to tech support.
Hold down a key on the keyboard, or remove the keyboard; this will force it into an alarm state, and you will have to press a key to continue. Try that, I think it might work
Hi, Press Shift + Pause at the point you wish to stop. It's handy for reading the info or to set up a monitor for that resolution. Press any key to get going again. Luck, Jim
