don't know who this is but RIP

the guy from "The Fast and the Furious", shouldn't be to hard to know who he is...

I don't know much about him, but his fast and furious work was pretty significant and people talk good things about him, and it looks like he was a big car enthusiast and... a passenger on this crash;

RIP

Wow looks horrible - hopefully death on impact in that case. Death by fire is just about the most terrible.

Unless they just rolled up on that tree - can't believe a small tree could withstand that impact yet larger trees fall in hurricanes.

Well...based on what's left of the car...which would be a small red chunk of plastic or fiberglass... (😵)

I'm thinking it was a high-end 911. The Carerra GT wasn't ever made in anything but silver, was it?

edit: nevermind, a quick GIS says it was definitely available in a few colors at some point. But brightly-colored Porsche definitely still makes me think hi-po 911 and not Carrera GT.

Yeah, they're saying it was Porsche Carrera GT. It sounds like he was going on test drives with people in his new car and he was the passenger in the vehicle. Stinks.

He might go largely unknown, but I thought he was a decent actor - more than able to fulfill his given mediocre roles. I haven't read much about his young age and presumably dying in a Porsche, but I hope the James Dean references find their own place.

Walker's publicist Ame van Iden confirmed his death, but said she could not elaborate beyond statements posted on Walker's official Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Walker was a passenger in a friend's car and both were headed to a charity event for his organization, Reach Out Worldwide, according to a statement posted on his Facebook page. The website for the charity indicated there was an event in Southern California on Saturday to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
The Santa Clarita Valley Signal, citing a sheriff's deputy at the scene, said a red Porsche appeared to have lost control and struck a tree.
Deputies arrived at the scene to find a vehicle on fire, the sheriff's department said in a statement.
Once fire crews put the flames out, they found two occupants, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.

It always sucks when someone dies because of someone else's choice like being a passenger in a car or someone killing someone while driving drunk. Go ahead and do something stupid and kill yourself, not someone else.

Yup, and that's the flip side - what if that tree had just been someone waiting for a bus?

Paul Who?? Looked him up on IMDb. Don't think I've seen a single movie that he did. Haven't even heard of most of them.
