The Porsche being reported is basically a street legal race car. I have been in one.

I'm guessing it was a GT3 or something?

I'd have to imagine that with all the F&F movies, he does have a lot of real experience/training behind the wheel. I'm sure they used stunt drivers for 99% of any actual sketchy maneuvering, but I just can't see him doing all those movies with high levels of 'real' in-car footage without some insurance that he could handle himself decently.

But it sounds like he was pushing his skill level a wee bit...RIP, guy. You were actually slowly getting decent at the whole 'acting' thing.

It looks as if he was the passenger when the crash occurred. This is what his PR team has said and they would likely have that information from the police.

I have read just a GT, but saying its new, cant be true, they do not make them any longer. They could mean new to him if the car they are talking about is the one I have been in.

He apparently owned multiple Porsches, including at least one GT3 and at least one GT2.

Holy shit just heard this! I really liked him as an actor too, wow.

Unless of course this is a hoax, in which case it was pretty effective.

I'm so confused....is he dead or isn't he. They didn't finish the new trilogy yet! 😛 Never been a fan of the internet death hoaxes.

Well...based on what's left of the car...which would be a small red chunk of plastic or fiberglass... (😵)

I'm thinking it was a high-end 911. The Carerra GT wasn't ever made in anything but silver, was it?

edit: nevermind, a quick GIS says it was definitely available in a few colors at some point. But brightly-colored Porsche definitely still makes me think hi-po 911 and not Carrera GT.
