What's the verdict over at tranceaddict?

Fairly positive. Although I thought I would see a LOT more regarding it. I guess people don't really want to give it a chance.

I'm loving, and can't get enough!!!!

Reading an TA thread now. Seems like most people think CD1 > CD2.

It's worth a review...dunno if I'll buy it yet, though...my last few CD purchases have been sheit!

Well, first of all you're probably thinking of the DJ Tiësto remix of Southern Sun, not the Oakenfold original. And that was off his all original CD. This is a mix CD, a compilation by Various Artists. So, the two can't really be compared.

But I would be pretty confident in saying that a lot of people might really like Disc 1. Listen to some of the tracks on the Amazon Link. Lemme kno what you think.

Hmm...haven't heard many of those tracks on the CDs.

I'll be honest...i'm skeptical of how good it is, since imo Oakey has gone downhill for a while now, but i will check into it.

On the night he came to my town, our local DJ played a far better set than he did...then again, he seems to be kinda dipshitty live lately.

I think you might like it then. Go ahead and blame me 😀

I like the tracks, he does a better job of mixing in this one than he did in the other ones.

Well, I totally got an "Old School" Oakey feeling for this set.

Than you haven't heard him at BBC IBIZA Festival or anywhere else, because he was awesome at that festival.

Sander Kleinenberg, I think keeps getting better than Paul.

I'll check out that set. Is it an Essential Mix? (I'm guessing so, since it's BBC.) What's the date of the set, do you remember?

Aight, thanx. And I only know like four of those songs. (BTW, Ferry Corsten-Sweet Sorrow (Ferry's Brilliant Flashover Mix) is freaking amazing.)

The Tiesto mix of Southern Sun was great, but is the G&D mix even better? I've been listening to a lot of G&D stuff lately, but haven't heard that yet.

Personally, I think the Tiësto mix was better. (If you're going to say the man's name, at LEAST put the correct "ë", haha. JK)
