Paul McCartney or Keith Richards?

This shouldn't even be close - Paul McCartney. He can play guitar, piano and sing. Can Keith even stand up anymore?

He could tap dance, do backflips and juggle poodles while playing Beethoven's Ninth on the french horn - and it still wouldn't be as impressive as Keith Richards surviving this long.

His first post-Beatles album (McCartney, aka "the cherries album") he played all the instruments; I've also seen reports that he would fill in on drums during Beatles' studio sessions when Ringo was unavailable.

Is that as impressive as Paul returning from the dead?

Is this a version of the old "Beatles or 'Stones" question??

Stones, here.

Sir Paul doesn't have his Blood changed. Keith does, and that's badazz.. 😉 Rumor has it that KR actually Died in 1977, but he had so much Coke in his system that his body hasn't laid down yet.

Meh - that whole "Coherent Speech" thing is over rated... 😀

I'd have to go with Paul. I'd say Keith is a much, much better guitarist (and he did write a lot of the awesome Stone's tunes), but Paul is much more diverse, and his songs are just mindblowingly good.

Musical ability = Paul McCartney

Personality = Keith Richards

Paul is a great musician but his "holier than thou" attitude really sticks in my craw. Keith, despite his fame, seems more down to earth. I've read a few excerpts from his book and it seems he never let the fame go to his head, beyond the drug use anyway.
