Only if the Pats aren't able to field a team b/c they all got food poisoning.

Alrighty, there are now only 2 teams left on the pats schedule who have any chance of taking them down, Steelers then the Giants.

The Pats looked real good out there and Buffalo didn't look too bad if you ask me (compared to what other teams have done anyways)

But was it necessary to run your complete 2 minute drill (with timeouts and all) at the end of the 1st half? And go for it twice on 4th down?

Hmm you seem like a person who values class on their team a lot -_-

-Kevin

(Oh and I don't think I even asked what you guys thought the rest of the league was thinking-- in fact I don't think I even mentioned it)
Oh seriously just shut the fuck up about 'class'. The term 'running up the score' was created by pussy athletes and coaches who just can't stand the fact that their team is absolutely no match for the squad they are playing. I never hear a damn thing about college teams 'running up the score', and that's 'amateur' sports where sportsmanship and class are supposed to supercede the game. The league is pro, the members are there to get paid and win, so let them win however they want. If it's a 100-3 blow-out then all the power to the winning team. I'm so fucking sick of hearing bitching about the pats running up the score and not having class. If anything the pats have had enough class to not destroy teams like they are now for the past 5 years. Just stfu already.

This is coming from a die hard Bills fan who lives near the stadium and holds season tickets. I left during half time because the stadium stops serving booze after halftime, my friends wanted to get a few drinks somewhere else, I wanted to avoid traffic and I wanted to check my fantasy league. So as 'running up the score' goes this is the most the pats put up so far this season and they deserved every point they earned. So they went for it on 4th down, good for them, they scored on that. They went for it because they knew they could score and if not they had the bills in horrible field position. So the best football strategy in that position is to do what they did and not even bother with this notion of 'class' so many people want to field as a valid point.

Sure the Bills are playing with an insane amount of effort this year. The Bills lost just about every good starter they have and still are .500 on the year. Given the condition of the Bills did anyone expect anything less than 35 points from the patriots? Hell I'm glad they got a touchdown from JP, that lazy bum of a QB.

On a side note I've never seen paulNEpats gloat so much about the pats. He was eerily silent when they lost last year to the colts. :D

Who will beat them?

Coming into the home stretch, over the next 6 weeks a couple of teams will step up and make a strong push into the playoffs. There should be 3-4 teams that will be able to give them a good postseason game. January games are a bit different, more of an emphasis on running due to weather.

Other than the Colts, no clue what the other teams will be. We will know once the season ends and we get to see who is playing well at that point. As far as the Steelers, if they don't fix their return coverage and pass protection problems there is no point in them even playing in the playoffs, if they even hold on and make it there.

Two things will happen:
1. Karma will come back on the pats
2. They win the super bowl and people like me give up on pro sports and just watch college.

Like someone posted above, I wouldn't be surprised if someone(or more than one) took cheap shots.

You don't kick a man when he's down. And if you do, expect to be kicked when you are down--EVERY TIME. I predict that for the next 10 years anyone that has a chance to pile it on the pats will and every other team in the league will cheer for it.

The simple fact it is some ESPN analysts, and former football players, called it low class and that the pats piled it on. If half of the ultra competitive pro players call it a low blow, anyone else with a soul knows its low.

I watched quite a bit of the game (muted, mind you) and I really only saw one play that they ran it up. That one being a 4th and 1 one on the BUF 5? and passing it for a TD.

Other than that, nothing else even hinted at it to me.

I saw 2 TD drives that were a good 10 run plays, maybe three passes. Killing the clock to get the game oover, but of course because the TD was scored it was ran up.

I saw another one or two where Moss was just blatantly wide fucking open near the end zone. If you aren't going to cover the best receiver on the team (league?), you deserve to get scored on. Not a Pats fan, but the defense I saw was absolutely horrible on Buffalo's part.

And the other I caught was a defensive TD. Maybe he should have kneed it when he caught it? o_0

Give me a break about this no class thing. They took brady out with 11 mins to go and they coudl have probably scored again. The score that made it go to 56 was an interception, what do you want them to do? catch it and then hand it back to the guy so they can feel better about themselves? This isn't middle school, high school, or college. These guys are pro football players who get paid millions of dollars to play a stupid game, they should play as hard as they can all the time. I am sorry if it hurts their feelings, but there is no mercy rule in pro football.

Its the pats choice if they want to risk their good players after the game is clearly over, once the second string is in, and they still score...well what else would you want them to do? Heck, I wanted them to go for it when it was 4th and inches in the 4th quarter...cause you know they would have made it.

I love the "haters".

Karma..please.

And for those of you who are quoting "experts" from ESPN are a bunch of idiots. Those guys are trying to stir up any dredge they can for the sake of ratings. They don't know their head from their ass, they've been so concussed. See Steve Young as an example. His 49'ers NEVER put up huge scores on teams.....*cough*.

Maybe teams should learn how to play defense, if you let the 3rd and 4th string FULLBACKS just run over you.

That would be awesome!

I am a pats fan(well kinda, I don't really care who wins, I just like watching football.), and I would even get a kick out of that.

The teams are there to win. Adding extra points to a game that is already a blow-out is just icing on the cake for the winning team.

I'm NOT a Pat's fan, and have an intense dislike for Brady, but they came to Buffalo to do one thing...WIN...which they did.

If I were a Buffalo fan, I'd have been disappointed in my team, but I certainly wouldn't be whining about "piling on the points."

Myself, I wondered if the Bills' bus broke down somewhere, and they sent one of the local High School teams to fill in for them.

When a team is up by that much, it also allows the offense to experiment with alternate type plays.

The same goes for the defense; practice against the real thing with stunts and tricks to see how they actaully might play out.

I think a local HS team would have scored a few more points at least using the lateral.

But at least they put on their uniforms and gave it a shot. Thats better than not showing up at all.

That is a lose lose situation anything they did they pretty much ran the score up....If they went for a field goal that was pretty much 3 points, at least if they went for it there was a chance they wouldn't score, fumble, int, etc...

I don't think that's what people are talking about when they say running up the score. When its 4th down, your up by 97 or however much they were up at that point, you aren't expected to hand the ball to the defense and apologize. They are expected to kick a field goal at that point.

I hope they keep passing, and Brady breaks Manning's TD record.

Imagine the score if the Pats played either the Raiders or Niners? 200 to 3 sounds about right.

Hahah yeah right.

Keep dreaming.

No WAY the 49'ers can muster a field goal.
