Is it just me or are the stripes really reversed? The red, white, and blue stripes seem to be in the wrong order when I compare each side.

edit 1: you're right, its wrong

edit 2: you're wrong, its right...its just folded in half, then the two ends are pulled a little apart

Yep. Its wrong. On the right, the red should be on the top, and blue on the bottom. Think about it... harder. :)

If the red stripe is on the inside and its a simple fold then the red stripe should be on the inside of the opposite side.

Yeah it is wrong. The red should be on the bottom on both sides. I took a soft tape measure here at home and folded the end, and the numbers wrap around opposite the way the icon does.

Its right, because the ribbon isn't looped around and back at the top, its folded so that both the inner and outer sides of the ribbon face you, unlike the other ribbon design where the top is looped so the same side of the ribbon faces you on both 'ends' (either inner, or outer, but not both).

Edit Though, if you stare at it long enough, it begins doing tricky things like an illusion.

Nit picking about things like this is pretty foolish, it seems to me.

We should be thankful that we have these lovely avatars, not quibbeling about the designs.

So: Thank you for the avatars. :)

By the way, congratulations on your very first post, and welcome to AnandTech forums! :)
