PerezHilton is just now reporting:

"Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer, his publicist confirmed on Wednesday.

The average life expectancy of someone diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas is six to nine months, with only 4 percent of patients living more than five years"

Steve Jobs had pancreatic cancer. The dumbass sat on it for 9 months and then got it treated in 2004... he's still alive and kicking.

So Fox News is actually quoting the National Enquirer as it's source? Wow.

That is a new low for Fox.

Giving credit to the org that broke the story is "low?"

The NE is quoted as a source quite often by major news orgs when it comes to entertainment "snoop" news.

It is often the tabloids that will break a story of such personal nature like this about a celebrity. The major news orgs then confirm it, and site the NE as their source for the original news.

For any news media to quote NE as a credible source is just downright ridiculous.

im not gonna beleive this till its put on some sort of real news site

if it's not true, will he sue?

No. He would pay them off for reminding people that he's still alive.

I sincerely hope it's not true. I wouldn't wish pancreatic cancer on anyone.

From CNN (linked from People magazine) - Text

And while Swayze has been happily married to the same woman, Lisa Niemi, since 1975, only last month Scarlett Johansson said quite seriously during her Hasty Pudding roast at Harvard that the man to whom she'd most like to be linked with romantically is, "Probably Patrick Swayze. My dream come true."

I know what phone call I'd make if I were Patrick Swayze and I found out I had a few weeks left to live.

I still hope that he's able to fight it and live longer though.

If the story has been verified, and the NE broke the story, why shouldn't they be quoted?

If a major news org did NOT attribute the story to NE, they would be breaking ethics.

Raging assholes usually survive against all odds in my experience.

People mag is quoting his doctor and his publicist. I'd say that the speed of light is catching up to this bit of bad news. 🙁

That's a relief.

Whoopi Goldberg sure is relieved

Before he passes I would like to see him do another classic like Road House! Even another Dirty Dancing movie would have been great.

Swayze in his prime was undefeatbale!

i read that this morning

his was an unusual and rare form of pancreatic cancer that was treatable, he didnt sit on it, he made some drastic dietary changes

fwiw, my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer over a year ago, and did something similar, drastically changing her diet.

i havent talked to her lately, shes been in excellent health, however (in fact, better than she has been in years), and had a good report last time i hear anything about it, but its been a couple of months so i dont know any of the details right now.

Haha, my wife was watching her typical Hollywood Access shows (or whatever they are called) in the living room, but I didn't know what she watching. I was in the other room on the computer, and I hear her say "Oh no!!" with a really worried voice. She continues to sound like something is badly wrong, so I yelled in there to see what was wrong. Patrick Swayze was the news. lol She's a huge Dirty Dancing fan.

It's kind of strange. Patrick Swayze has exactly the kind of looks I don't like and played roles I didn't care for yet I liked watching his movies anyway. It is sad to hear he has such a terrible cancer.

limited amount <> five weeks to live. This is exactly the kind of crap why I discredit anything associated with NE.

I guess I'm the only one that liked the movie Ghost. I also liked his role in Donnie Darko 😀

Okay, you're Patrick Swayze, you have cancer, and you only have 5 weeks to live.

What do you do? What DO you DO?

Make pr0n. Then set up a fund for pancreatic cancer as the royalty benificiary. You can make a lot of pr0n in 5 weeks.
