Please. Homelessness is a national problem. It's concentrated in urban areas because they migrate to places where at least some help is available.

Beyond that, putting patients out on the street w/o at least proper clothing is completely inexcusable.

Capitalism? Capitalism doesn't care about people in general. Capitalism cares about profit for a few people. The rest can fuck off & die for all they care.

This has NOTHING to do with capitalism. Denmark has a homeless population around .2%. America is somewhere around .15%. Denmark is a very socialist country. There are so many factors at play here beyond which style of government a country uses. No one has to be homeless in either system.

Capitalism does not only care about a few. It doesn't care about anyone, but it is a system that allows anyone that wants to achieve do so.

You think she wanted to be kicked to the curb in sub freezing temperatures wearing nothing but a sheet?

Perhaps what you called a choice (or a want) is actually more of a facade.

Some folks are still in denial, but it's becoming increasingly obvious that universal single payer is the only answer.

Denmark is a capitalist country, too-

All the lady in the hospital gown at the bus stop needs is some bootstraps.

I can take any single example and blow it up too!

This guy just needs more socialism!

Our homeless rates are in line with socialist countries. I don't get why this is something you guys are jumping on me over so much. This isn't a capitalism problem.

Are people still smoking?

Then why are we talking about this problem?

Apples to shoes comparison.

When looking at a particular liberty that can do harm to others and discussing limiting it, there is nothing wrong with comparing that liberty to other liberties and privileges that can do harm to others.
