Not looking forward to having some screaming poop box keeping me awake at all hours and ruining my life...sigh.

Oh and edit: Guys who have kids- How much looser is the woman's vag after? Do they go from pinky tights to hotdog in a hallway status? And do the lips get all loose and flappy?

Depends on what your company allows. For some company's you have to use your sick time, for others they actually have a separate short-term leave program for paternity and maternity.

here in Denmark 2 weeks of family leave are reserved for the father. 18 weeks are reserved for the mother and 30 weeks can be divided as the parents see fit (all of it paid of course). Usually the father only takes the two weeks

So a mother gets 48 weeks off?

How is your immigration policy?

1. You are an ass. :)

2. Not too loose. At least not by the time she will let you near her again.

1. I know. It's a symptom of being in your 20s

2. Sounds fun. Looks like I'll have to invest in a solid Fleshlight. Then again, I'll probably be too tired and pissed off to have the energy to do that..

The couple has the baby, not just the woman. It's a new age my friend.

In my case I used the whole 12 weeks but I used Leave and Sick days to cover it so it wasn't unpaid. I took the 12 weeks over the course of 5 months to cover the days my wife was working after her 3 months of maternity leave.

Until males are capable of gestating another human, I will continue to ridicule any man that claims they are pregnant, or that they are also "having a baby."

Not to discredit involvement or responsibility...but I just find that new paradigm grating and obnoxious. :D

Dam, I feel like a out of touch cave man. I took 3 days off for each of my kids and was promptly back to work.

Two days here. Mom took care of herself with grandma to help out. I was completely third wheel and glad to be back to work.

Yeah... your sex life is over for at least 8 weeks, or until your wife is done with breastfeeding. Whichever comes last :(

My son was born late last week.
I am taking all this week off.

Paid, non-vacation.

I might take vacation half days next week.
