I want to smash my psp when I play this game. I can't hold a fever or combos if my life depended on it and it's plain impossible (i'm at the desert part like level 3).

at the same time it's so cute I can't put it down.. This game should have been more 3d instead of looking like a flash game.

also, do you guys think these are a good value?

and what is the difference b/w mark and mark 2?

and any high capacity battery recommendations for the slim?

The game is notoriously unforgiving when it comes to timing. The sequel is supposed to fix that.

what's the point of the game? To beat the game and then keep fighting all the bosses until you reach level 9?

does it have a satisfying ending?

any tips to get fever? Sometimes I get it after 5 combos and other times 10 combos.

I bought a 2gb memory card from office max for $17.99

that's not a great deal vs. ebay but 50% off retail. It's a lexar card.

they also have a 4gb for $29.99

The point of the game is to keep progressing the story. Eventually you will get more combos that will allow you to do different things, and you will get different sorts of Patapons. The story is neat.

A few tips -

1.listen for the difference in the drum beat sounds. The "perfect" beat is one that reverberates more and has more of an echo.
2. Time your beats with the white rectangle that outlines the screen. Eventually you will be able to time your beats without even looking at the screen.
3. You can get fever after 3 combos. You will definitely get it after 10. It just depends on how many "perfect" beats you get.
4. Tap your foot, or nod your head. Sing along with the music, it all helps.

A lot of people I know have problems with the timing in this game, however I never did. I thought it was pretty easy, if you concentrated and listened, to get a 3-combo fever. Perhaps having studies music as an adolescent helped me?

The point of the game is to reach the end of the Earth.

Anyway, the game is great. Also, you said you were on an impossible desert level. You aren't talking about the one where the heat and lava kill your patapons are you?

the difference between mark 1 and 2 is the write speeds. For PsP, it doesnt matter as much unless your running homebrew from the stick. Also try to avoid getting memory cards from amazon if possible, because they sometimes sell fakes(not amazon's fault but the people who list them)

if I get something from amazon, I try to get it from amazon themselves not the indie sellers. But I went with a lexar duo for $17.99 2gb from office max.

I passed the desert level already and nothing new opened up. So i'm just going to level up some more.

can I d/l demos to the PSP from the playstation network?

I gave up, it came to a point where I was getting smoked by the dudes on horses with that wizard assist or whoever that throws out whirlwinds lol. It didn't help that I had some of those rare patapon guys get eaten by one of the bosses where you can't res. them very early on in the game.

I know a lot of people quit during that stupid desert level that requires you to use the rain chant.

I am at the part with the castle and I got creamed. You just gotta keep leveling up.

once you have 18 guys and you can keep a fever the whole level, you're pretty unstoppable.
