What I am confused about is why if you think Red and I are doing the same thing, you "Respect" him, but think what I am doing is wrong? The difference between me and Red is that Red acts like a jackass to EVERYONE.. I am only a jackass to HIM.. How are we alike? I don't insult every member of this BBS, and the only reason I single him out is just because he does it in EVERY thread it seems like..

To me, Red Dawn is like Howard Stern. He likes to argue and is a bit too fond of hurling insults for his own good. He's got alot of anger for some reason, and makes no effort to hide that fact. If you can sift through all of the sarcasom and bitterness, he often argues some good points. Although I very seldom agree with anything he says, I respect his right to his opinions and arguments. He reminds me of the crazy old guy who used to live down the street from my parents. He really didn't cause anyone any harm, but he was always pissed off and wanted to argue with someone. However, he'd help you out with something if he could. I respect Red for the positive things he does, such as what was illustated in the link posted above regarding that guy who is a bad trader.

Thorn - I figured that I ruined my Right Wing credentials when I posted about Anandtech being mentioned in the NY Times since the NY Times is a well-known liberal newspaper (which also happens to be the best newspaper I've ever found, I try and read it and the WSJ everyday if I can). I just thought that Shux forgot to add Shuxclams to his list of "One sided, one dimensional and uninspiring" posters and I wanted to help out a fellow SETI cracker by making sure his list was complete.

It isnt so much about personalities, heck if that were the case I dougbt I could be civil to 99% of the jokers that post here, its more about the mindless dribble of "blah blah blah" this is the way it is and then if you say otherwise or try and debate or defend a position, your either an "Anarchist" or a "Pinko" and finally some type of personal attack or judgement. I think that all of those I listed have and continue to do exactly that. Look at Tominator, tagej or Ornery, we disagree 90% of the time, yet there is some level of respect or civility. I have no patience for idiots who already know their right.
