Pastrami, that's what's for dinner!

Pastrami sounds really good right now.

At home we'll heat up a frying pan to medium low heat, put a bit of olive oil on one side of two pieces of sourdough bread, place one slice down to brown then put mayo on the other slice. Immediately top the one in the pan with pastrami and provolone cheese then the other slice of bread. Flip to brown both sides.

Take off pan and put in some cold tomato and lettuce.

the pastrami sandwich at Hat's is ok, but $7? 🙁

their chili fries aren't that great, the chili isn't very good. i prefer the fried items(fries, onion rings, zucchini) from Tops.

it's HUGE and tastes good. I can eat a lot and it fills me up. Don't think $7 worth of food at any other fast food place will fill me up. I like their Chili, it's not close to Tommys good, but it's far better than just about everywhere else in So Cal.

The Hat is win, if they had Tommy Chili for their Fries I might eat there every day 😀

Are you like 300 pounds?

I will be amazed if you are relatively fit.

I'm 5'11 and 200lbs, I have weird metabolism. I can eat all day and never put on a pound. I'm sure one that that will change (I'm 34) but as it stands I could eat Hat 5x a day and never put on weight. It's a blessing and a curse lol. I doubt I'm fit as I can't run a mile, but I don't look fat or out of shape. I don't sweat when I'm doing physical work or nothing though.

Going to have to try both of those places next time I go through OC/LA.

For those of you not on the west coast try a New York Yankee at Jason's Deli.

I miss that place.

Do you have a favorite sauerkraut? I like Franks, just because its plentiful but its very...potent. I'd like to find a smoother kraut to put on my sammiches and eat with my snausages.

Anyone have a favorite kraut they use?

If you find any kraut to be too strong simply rinse it before using it. Dump your can into a colander and run some water through it. A quick rinse removes a little strength, a longer more thorough rinse makes it much milder.
