My three sisters enjoy using my file sharing programs to download things that sometimes aren't always what they seem... I just spent a good 7 hours fixing my comp after the latest virus to hit my computer thanks to my dumb sisters... is there a software or prog out there that I can use to password-protect programs like kazaa or winmx or something similar that will get the job done but still allow my sisters to use things such as MS Word, Winamp, etc.

You running Windows 95/98/ME or 2000/XP?

If 95/98/ME:
You'll need to find a 3rd party app that will block certain programs.

If 2000/XP:
Just deny them NTFS access to that folder.

well i'm running xp and would prefer a third party program... to deny them access wouldn't I need to have separate login names for my sisters and me? I prefer just using one login and just running some simple third party prog.

Yes, you will need different logins. I doubt you'll find many 3rd party security apps for XP, as it's built-in security is very robust.

How computer savy are your sisters? There are lots of "simple" solutions that you can use.

This may be what your looking for Braves. I never tried it but just recently came across it the other day. Don't know if it works with XP.
