Password protect just one folder...

Hi, I have a laptop, pretty much everyone touch it, and it's ok with me. there's one folder (pictures of course) (not porn if you ask) I'd like to password protect. If I do it through windows I have to close my account with a password, and once again, if someone is in the computer, he can reach it.
I need a very simple program that will just lock the content of the entire folder (it has sub folders inside) from viewing or using. (I don't want them to see the files, or open them with different programs - acdsee, paint, whatever...) .
any suggestions?

I would just use a password protected zip file. However, if you put a password on your user account and every is using limited accounts (as they most certainly should) then nobody would be able to see your folder except for the administrator.

I like the password protected ZIP file suggestion, now that zip is integrated into the shell this is probably the easiest native way to "password protect a single folder".

If that doesnt work for you than I'd look for a 3rd party utility.

You should still be able to find a copy of 'Microsoft Private Folders' which was a short lived add-on for XP which would do this.

For really sensitive stuff, I would remove the folder from the PC and store it on a flash memory module - maybe even encrypted.

You could also encrypt it in your "classified" folder without having to use a password. You can hold the encryption key privately.
