I have so many passwords and usernames I don't know what to do with them.

How can i safely store them? Ideally, I would like to store it online, b/c I don't trust information on my computer/harddrive.

I was thinking of simply storing them as a document on google docs. Is that a good idea? Is there a better option? Let me know, thanks.

If you trust Google with your passwords...
My suggestion if you're going to do something like that would be to encrypt that one document and just be darn sure to remember that password. I dunno about putting it online. If you encrypt it on your HD its not gonna be accessible.
Look at PGP, or Truecrypt (that lets you make a big encrypted 'container' you can put many files in). You could even just use Word's password protection, although lots of tools exist for cracking it.

*Edit* I forgot one other thing, a good archive program will have options to encrypt/password protect a file. 7-zip has AES encryption, and it will even encrypt the file names so no one can see what is protected inside the archive. That would probablt be the easiest option.
 
I figure I can divide my username/passwords in to 3 catigories.
1. Places where I don't care really about my account. There are no horrible repurcussions to loosing control of my account like forums, of that account i set up so I could order pizza online to be delivered and such like. These sites don't have credit card information kept on them or anyt other account information on them. I use one username and password for all these.
2. Games. This would be a pain if I lost control of these accounts but not earth shattering. I use one username and password for all my games.
3. High Security sites. Like my bank and credit cards. Here I use passwords that are easy to remember 10 characters in length or more are more like password phrases but use numbers also. I use phrases that deal with my personal experiance but can't be easily attached to me. something like a sentence from a book i liked modified with numbers, and uppercase/lower case combinations, or maybe based of certain signals I deal with on a daily basis at work. (poeple outside my buisness would have no idea what they ment.) I tend to use one password for all these. My usernames may change based on what the site requires.

That's not a lot of usernames/password combinations to remember.
