800.com customer service rep just told me that the Microsoft PASSPORT EXPRESS offer of rebating $20 for every $100 up to $100 total was discontinued last Friday night. Does anyone know if this is correct? I thought it was to expire on 12/20/01.

man that's no good! luckily i got in early on this deal and did receive a confirmation email from Microsoft about my balance on the transaction. What is this threat list anyway. If you go through eshop.msn.com you can still get to 800.com. How do you know the deal is over?

Man, I literally squeeked my order in at the deadline with 800.com. Placed the order just before Midnight on Friday and received the remainder of my credit today :) I did have to call them on the order tho. They shipped 2 different items from seperate locations so they charged my card twice within a short time. Amex declined the second charge (the largest amount) for security reasons. It took a phone call to Amex and two to 800.com to get it straighted out....... BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!! :)

Good Luck
