Passive video card cooling?

Okay so I got an idea....

The fan on that chipset cooler is a 12v dc. What if I were to undervolt it to 7v? I figure that I should still have adequate cooling with 7v while getting rid of whatever little noise the chipset cooler is making... I think I'm gonna try it tonight.
