I got tired of replacing fans on my IC7-G NB. Now I use the Swiftech MCX159-P without the fan as a passive NB HS. Temps are actually a bit better than they were with the original active Abit NB HS.

The only problem now is the lousy soldering job Abit did on their NB HS retention clips. One of my clips came out of the board a few days ago. I read about this problem with Abit boards and fashioned a second clip for my MCX159-P when I installed it as a precaution. Good thing I did. It kept the Swiftech HS from falling on my ATI AIW 9700 Pro when the Abit retention clip gave way.

I'm removing the mobo tomorrow to do the paper clip repair.
