Passed 'Em both: A+ Hardware/Software

I'm fairly confident, considering how easy the Net+ was, but still, ATOT, wish me the best! Hardware at 9 a.m, software at noon.

UPDATE: Whooo! Passed 'em both! 808 on the Hardware 690 on the software.

A+ is harder than Net+? Dang, why the fvck haven't I taken Net+ yet...

<edit>

Sad fact: I've taught A+ classes, and my students had nearly a 100% passing rate. I, however, still haven't bothered to take the actual tests.

Good luck. It isn't as easy as it once was but if you know your stuff and study it will indeed be very easy. I don't think A+ is harder than Network+. I'm A+ certified right now and studying for my Network+.

I'm thinking of studying to get all these stupid certs (college diplomas are useless these days, i'm still fishing for an IT job)...

Do you have to go to class for these or is it fairly simple to study on your own and take the tests?

I have a lot of practical experience, so it seems pretty easy for me. If you work a tech job, pick up a book at border's or whatever and study it. read it though, you should do fine.

People who took it, was your pass rate 60% like my Net+ was, or is it 80% like my brother told me it was (hasn't taken it...)

I'm thinking about taking the test as long as my work pays for it. No sense in passing up a free certification even though I'm going to medical school.

Isn't A+ the easier cert to get?

Not for me. I studied for about 3 days for the N+. Got an 865.

Studied the same for the Hardware part of A+. Got a 765.

Studied the same for the O/S part of A+. Got a 655. And that was *only* that high because the last 5 questions were thankfully regarding ports and networking questions.

Had I not got those at the end I would have probably failed.
