Passed A+ now onto Network+

The A+ was a breeze. Passed it with only reading the exam cram book. I just bought the Network+ exam cram. Is the network plus just as easy? Your thoughts.

Dunno about Network +, but A+ was way to easy. I barely even studied.

Nice job with the A+. I was looking at a network+ exam cram book, and I didn't really see the point in taking it; I already took the Networking Essentials MCP exam and it seems like the same thing. Anyone recommend getting the net+, even though I've already done the net ess. exam?

I bought an A+ study book. Do I even need to go through the whole thing? To sum up my total experience, I've built quite a few cpu's for myself, relatives, friends, etc. I have a home network. I'm no Windows expert by any means, but I think I know more than the average person.(maybe not the avg. poster on Anandtech, but regular people)
Should I go ahead and take the test? I've tried a couple of practice tests and done ok, but I'm not sure how relevant they are to the real thing. The book seem pretty basic so far.

I passed A+ last year and it was easy because I was prepared.

I'm taking N+ in April.

was your A+ the new style exam with questions on win2k, linux etc?

Im A+ certified, but on the older exam. Im also network+ and MCP in Net Ess, however the Network+ can be used in other exams, for example by getting your network plus you automaticlaly get your CIW-Associate exam, if your MCSE and Network+ you only have to take 1 test and you will basically skip 5-6 CIW courses and come out as a Master CIW. Network+ is transferable in a few other certs as well.

Oh wait, maybe it was Inet+ that is transferable with CIW...hmm ill have to look into that. I have almost all of comptia's certs, cept for server+ which i want to take laster in march.

do a search for CIW certification and you should find it pretty quick

THELAIR you are a mcp in net essentials? Did you take anything else cause you don't get a mcp from that exam?

If you do your I-Net+ you are entitled to get your CIW Associate. You have to mail in a copy of your cert (inet+) and CIW sends you a paper saying you are now certified associate. I know cuz i did just that! Peace out.
