Pascal Buyers: What Did You Upgrade From?

Sold both of my Titan X cards a few months before release and went with my 290 for a while. When 1080 came out it replaced my 290. The 290 is doing POEM duty now.

I went from a 780 to a 1070 in my current box at home although I have a 7970 and 7870 in other boxes.

I really wanted to go AMD because of my great experiences with my AMD cards but they didn't have anything fast enough and I just sold my GPU and was on integrated for a month.

I game at 1440p and have a second 1200p monitor. The 1070 had significantly lower power consumption via multi monitor and has the grunt needed to game at 1440p.

While a great value, the 480 was just too slow and I don't really see AIB options giving it that big a speed boost, just better cooling.

I went from Turbo Pascal 6 to Delphi. Now I can write GUI apps! Oh, not that Pascal?

780 Ti -> 1070. Largely for lower power consumption as I just moved from full tower to mini-ITX.

This DPC latency bug talk has me nervous... card coming tomorrow.

Titan X - 1080. Considering pricing I was able to get on the X, it was only a few hundred (AUD) for me to upgrade to a 1080.

I have no brand loyalty (I just buy whatever is the fastest single GPU at the time), and as a general rule, Pascal isn't a messiah architecture you would usually associate with a die shrink. But easier to flip the X now and pay a small amount for the upgrade.
