I play at both. I personally dislike Party Poker because the hands don't seem to be realistically distributed. There are a lot of fish there, but there are also a lot of sharks.
Absolute has extremely crappy software, but their tables are amazingly soft and they have some good tournaments. Bonuses are easier to clear at Party, but are more plentiful at Absolute.
It's really a coin flip. I'd try Party Poker first because they have really easy bonus requirements.
If you are a first time player, check out the link in my sig to get free stuff (poker chip sets, gift certificates, etc.) when you sign up at either of those two rooms![]()

FFactory0x, ask for a rakeback deal to get 25% of the rake back EVERYMONTH. dont settle for less than 25%. that's the current market for rakebacks![]()

Ausm, if you just took the money and time you spent on WoW on poker, you could be making a lot of money.

The rakeback program through the link in my sig (once at PSO it's the 'rake rebate' link on the left) is 27.5%, and they offer it through both Absolute and Party.
If you aren't going to play a large amount of hands and just want some free stuff for signing up and playing a little bit, then the free items are the way to go. If you play 40 hours+ per month, go for the rake rebate. Another option is to do the free stuff offer, and then the rake rebate at another site like Poker Now which is just a Party Poker skin (same tables, players, etc.).

not that complicated. You can normall hit refill 5 times wehn you are out of money until you have $5,000. But if you plan it better you can get $10,000 each time. You hit refill once, sit in with $500, rinse and repeat until you have $10,000. Then leave and go into a limit game where you can sit in with all your money. Post a blind to see a flop then quickly leave and refill to $10,000 again. Repeat as many times as you'd like.

no offense, but PSO's rakeback is laughable. 27.5% rackback is in the form of PSO points. And it takes ~5000 PSO points for $50 in cash back.
thus the rakeback at PSO is effectively .275%
others offer pure 25% cashback at Party and it's skins.

The rake back is for the 27.5% cash equivalent in PSO points. i.e. if you play 2,000 raked hands at $1 per rake, you would get 27.5% of your contribed rake (1/9th usually) so of the $2,000 in rake you would have contributed about $220, and you would get 27.5% of that back, or about $60. This is equal to 6,000 PSO points which can be redeemed for a poker chip set, or $60 in gift certificates.
Their program is by no means laughable, it is the BEST rake back program online. They also a pure cash back program instead of PSO points at a couple different rooms.
