if im pushing my k7m's fsb to 110 is it better to have pc133 ram, im thinking of buying this:

Kingston Ram

also ive got a usb scanner and a usb midi interface that are both powered by the usb connection, ive also got a modem, video card, and sound card in the slots,

will this power supply do:

Antec 400 watts

or can i go with a 300watt version?

if u guys know of anything else id appreciate suggestions,

i was thinking about buying mushkin or corsair ram but they dont sell the other thigns im looking for (mainly an asus p2t thermal cpu sensor) and im trying to save some cents by getting everything from one place.

if anyone knows please fill me in as im trying to buy this today

Kingston Ram is fine. As a general rule, if you buy memory rated higher than what you want to use it for (i.e., using PC133 in place of PC100), your overclocking will probably be more stable. Certain companies like Mushkin pretest the memory and "handpick" the best for sale. In your case, if you can't go above 110 FSB, PC133 is more than sufficient. I have been informed that buying a single stick of, say, 256Mb will be better than trying to OC separate sticks of 128Mb, but I do not know this for a fact. The Antec supply should be more than adequate. For cooling Athlons, a power supply with an intake on the inside bottom of the power supply and well as rear of the power supply case will suck out hot air above the CPU heatsink better. I can't tell from your link picture whether the Antec has an opening on the bottom. Some cases rest the power supply on a little shelf, so be sure your case configuration won't block any underside fan opening. I believe the Enermax supplies have this additional opening for cooling and they are well rated. I don't know where you can get everything, as some of your items are specialty (the temp probe). For great OC devices see Plycon.com. I have a Taisol (copperbottom) heatsink for the Athlon and I attached a 80mm to 60mm adaptor and put a 3200 RPM (43cfm) Sunon Fan on top. This moves a lot of air but is QUIET! Not all heatsinks can take the adaptor, but I think if you want to move a lot or air, this is the way to go. It is so quiet I can keep the side panel off the case, which helps greatly with cooling. Also, I suggest you get a case which has an exhaust fan at the top rear below the power supply and an intake fan on the lower front. Not all cases have openings for the rear exhaust fan.

I noted you asked whether to go with 300 watts, IMHO the difference in price to get 400 watts is minimal and the stability with having more amperage than you will need is worth it.

ok i bought the northwind rev 3 GFD, anyone know if these guys are still around? i got an email receipt but when calling them the tel # was changed, they havent even updated their site!

i bought 2 256mb cl2 pc133 chips from crucial, free shipping, this helped alot as i could buy brand name ram without having to pay extra shipping.

ill have to take a look at my case when i get home as im not sure how the power supply is connected. (shelf or no shelf) if there is no shelf ill get the enermax if there is then ill get the antec. will i really see a performace hit without the extra power supply fan? ive got a fan on the back of my pc as it is.

the k7m isn't made for fsb overclocking so i'd try to get a gfd and multiplier OC it. You'll be ok with a 300w.

That is a legit GFD you bought...I hope you didn't pay too much for it though...seeing you can get one for about $20 on the for sale/trade forum. I wouldn't worry about support for it...they are extremely easy to use. Just don't lose the instructions that come with it...you'll see what I mean when you get it....
