I have a 20gig hard drive and it is getting full so i pan to buy a new one(40gig). now is there a way to somehow partition them together so i have one 60gig partition?

i don't think so
it will become two partition, one 20gb, and one 40gb
beside why would you want a 1 partition with size of 60gb
i stick with 8gb per partition.

yeah but my motherboard doesn;t have a raid controller and i don't want to buy one nor do i want to buy 2 hard drives
my system specs are
Athlon classic700
asus k7v
256 megs ram
20gig hard drive
geforce2 gts

You can't "partition together" two drives. Partitioning involves splitting up a single, physical drive into different segments 🙂

cause i can't stand two drive letters. I like jsut a C: drie it makes life easier for installing programs and such that want to use C:\program files for their default dir.

I have not tried this product for myself, but to my understanding, Partition Magic can do some nice things with exisiting partitions. Since you have one 20GB parition that also acts as your system partition, I don't know how it will handle that. Might be able to combine them.

with Tweak UI i think you can easily change the default directory for installing programs...I have my Win98SE only on my C: and all my Program Files on D:\Program Files
