Partitioning Question

I just set up a new computer and I didnt really put much thought into partitioning the HDD until now. I have already installed Windows XP Pro and a few other apps. Is there anyway I can partition the drive without reformatting? I have access to a copy of Partition Magic and I looked into doing it with that but I am lost. It wont allow me to split the disk as their tutorial suggests doing. However, there is an option to create partition. I was just wondering what route I should take. Basically if someone could provide me with a basic walkthrough I would appreciate it very much.

If i remember correctly you need take you large main partition that you created ... resize it...which will leave a grey area of space..and create a new partition in that grey area of space....so

Resize you partition
Create a new partition out of free space
Restart
Enjoy
