Try to make intelligent use of the space to keep things tidy. Other than that it doesn't really matter.

everyone's needs are different - including the computer's

if you are using your system for video editing, it will be different to someone using it for booting several os'.

use partition manager, you can always play around with the partitions afterwards if you find you have overestimated/underestimated a space
