Partition software

Is there any free partitioning software I can get to just resize my partitions without erasing files? I have Partition Magic 6, but I have XP and it doesn't work with XP.

Partition Magic is the de facto standard and for good reason.

There is a rebate for upgrading.

Actually I have version 7 and it didn't seem to want to work in XP all that well either even though its supposed too. Just use the emergency DOS disks that Partition magic makes and boot with them. Thats what I had to do. It "should" resize properly without loosing data.

Actually, you didn't mention your file system. If you are still running FAT32 I think PM 6 will work just fine. If you switched to NTFS you'll have to get PM 7.

I have PM7 and XP. When I merge 2 NTFS partitions it hangs my computer. So im stuck with 2 partitions. I dont know if it is just my computer or others have this problem. I can make partitions just fine, but cannot merge them. Just a word of caution before you spend the $$$.

Driveworks is #1 in my book, although it isn't free. I've resized 60gb partitions full of data a couple times with not one crash yet.
