Partition Magic quick question...

Sorry if this is elementary... I've had bad run ins with Partition Magic before and would just like to clear up some points before I go and do anything again.

In the notes, it states it can partition drives while 'hot' or something. This means I can do everything within WinXP and not require a reboot right? I don't have to touch DOS right? Reason I ask is because I don't have any bootable drives on my laptop... Thanks!

While I haven't used PM yet myself (am going to need to soon), this says:
Enlarge NTFS partitions "hot" - No rebooting is required when expanding an NTFS partition, not even the system partition

I don't care how much they say it works, I wouldn't trust it without a good backup.
