If you had them you could boot into a dos version of Partition Magic - the only way you can get new ones is to create them from a working Partition Magic installation. If you have another machine you could try creating them there?

i tried again and it got in, it shows my hdd to still be 1 partition called "=?c?c" ......looks stuffed. also the size is 194,466.5mb which is what a 200gb hdd is but also my used mb is the same....and unused mb is 0.0

have i lost all my data from this drive? im going to hookup it up as slave into my other comp and see if i can see anything.

I put the hdd in this comp as slave but when i try to acces the drive it says "E:\ is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

If you can get the drive mounted in a 2nd computer then you could probably fix this. You'll need someone good with diskprobe. The Microsoft enterprise platform support setup team would definately do the trick but they cost $245.

Since Windows starts to load, your MFT is mostly intact. It sounds like your partition table is absolutely shot. You can wipe and rebuild it from scratch by locating your boot sectors or backup boot sectors. I don't think you have data loss yet, but you're going to need someone who knows what they are doing to save you. Diskprobe and the tasks that need done are a bit to complicated to walk you through in a thread or email. You'll need someone on the phone to help you out.

Edit: if you can get that drive in a 2nd computer, run this utility and send me the resulting .CAB file. PM me when you get it ready and I'll send you the email of where I'm at at the time (home or work).

Partition Magic explicitly warns you to backup your data before performing any procedure. There's always risk, albeit a fairly low one.

Sorry.

Did you try and call PM's tech support. I had a problem once with a partition that I tried to resize and was gettting errors similar to yours...they were very helpful and got me out of trouble and all was well.

I would try spinrite6 before you fork out that amount of money for MS if what Stockjock says doesn't work.

If you fool with anything at this point, don't bother calling MS. You're at the edge of the cliff as it is. It's going to be hard enough to cleanup without more changes being made.
