Partition Magic Error Message

I needed to transfer some data. So I moved my SAMSUNG ATA133 160GB from my second rig to my main rig. After which Partition Magic 7 Pro gave me the following warning: "Disk 2 appears to have partitions created using a different drive geometry (255h 63s). This is a serious problem that can result in data loss.....".

The drive is listed as "bad" when looking at the drive under Partition Magic. However, the drive is listed as healthy when looking at it with Windows Disk Management.

Now the funny thing is that when I moved this drive back to my second rig. Partition magic does not give any warnings and list the drive as being alright.

Also note that this drive was the boot/OS drive (primary/master) on my second rig. And I had it set up as secondary master when it was on my main rig.

Should I worry about this?

Why did Partition Magic even look at it, if all you want to do is copy the data off it ? ?

If you can read the data you want safely and accurately, move it as needed and do not worry about the message

I was actually launching Partition Magic (from Windows) for a different reason. I was setting up some partions on a new drive on my main rig. The message appeared as soon as Partition Magic opened.

All I wanted to do was transfer some data from my 2nd rig to the new drive on my main rig and then return the drive back to the 2nd rig. Upon seeing the message I was concerned since this drive contain the OS for my 2nd rig.

Well, I just figured out that ANY hard drive that I hook up to the secondary IDE as a master will produce the same warning in Partition Magic. I tried it with three different drives. And when I move the same drive to primary IDE as a master, the warning does not appear and the Partition Magic say that the drive is ok.
