partition magic 7.. uh oh

i had winxp pro on an 80gb drive, then decided to be cool and dual boot off the same drive w/ 98 and xp

so i installed part. magic 7, made my xp 80gb partition 60gb, created a 20gb part. to put 98 on, but then when it restarted, it just says "unable to load operating system".

i installed 98 on a different drive just so i could boot again, and reinstalled part. magic, and now on my 80gb drive it says "BAD" for partition name, "error 104, no sectors"

i could just fix it by completely wiping the drive and starting over, but my goal now is to get back the xp install that i already did, 1 partition would be fine.

anyone have suggestions? programs that would make my drive bootable again?

thanks
david

did you use the bootmagic program that came w/ pm7...

or did u resize your partition create a FAT partition and then set it active to install w98 ????

you might want to try booting your system up w/ either a bootdisk (preferrably win9x bootdisk) and use the PQMAGIC program on the pm7 disk and then reactivate your XP Partition...

good luck...

can you call partition magic tech support? They helped me once when I had a similiar problem, they know how to edit the partition table to finish the operation or to revert to the previous state.
