Partition HD for backups?

I am getting a second HD to backkup my entire HD. I only have 5G taken up
on my 20G drive. I'm getting a good deal on a 30G drive. It would make
sense to me to create a 10G partition, on the 30, to use for the HD backup
and then have 20 left for saving video files etc. Any thoughts on the
feasability, pros, cons, etc.??? Thanks in advance. Ron

probably only take a few gig 2-3 to back up your OS drive. I just use my second drive for backup, non partitioned--easier to do for me. I think it would have to be done according to your preference, i cant see any benefit of makin two partitions for backups.
