Partition another OS...

Currently I have 1 primary for Win9x, and logical on other partition. However I'll be going to create separate partitions for Win2k and Linux because I wanna play with different OSes. Should I format the partition for Win2k and Linux as primary, or logical?

Does it matter if I create logical NTFS for Win2k and logical Ext2 for Linux?

Thanks
