partion problem

i just got partition magic and am trying to make a new partition on my 2nd harddrive (not the bootdisk) for WIN2K.

i have 2 harddrives. I am NOT using raid.

C: 15gig 75gxp ide 3 highpoint controller
D: 15gig 75gxp ide 4 highpoint controller

I went in partition magic and made D: into 2 primary partitions but when i reboot partiton magic says:

Error 626. Operation is to be performed on a harddrive not visible from bootdisk

can someone experienced with partion magic help me out a little? Thanks
 
Have you tried moving these disk off of the Highpoint Controller and onto the standard IDE controllers? Just a thought, but there may be something wrong with the second slot on the Highpoint if you're not able to configure that drive correctly...
