Can I do BBA and do MBA directly from Queens or something in Australia?

Do you not understand the point of MBA? You are suppose to be managing people with that degree, how the fvck would MBA programs let you in if you dont have any work experience at all? Anything that doesnt require experience for an MBA is a worthless MBA, ie University of Phoenix, which you can do online from India:evil:

After BBA from India can one do work in India and then MBA in US and also CA in India.
Then isn't that enuf for a job in business
also, will exp in India be counted

To succeed at what you are proposing you will have to be Brilliant have very good luck AND your parents will have to spend quite a bit of money. Graduate high school and then decide. It is NOT easy to succeed as an immigrant in America. good luck

Also,MBA from any of the top US universities is better than doing from India.
In India MBA from my city maybe for 1.5-2lacs/annually or something.
Other students from my school have got scholarship, straight out of school, then ust not have been for MBA but for computers or something.
say 95% in stanford.

also, why can't you pay the application fee for 10schools?
it is just a one time investment.

why dont you try your best to get into one of the IIM's, they are comparable if not better than the best business schools in America

This kid is in 10th grade in india. He wants to get a degree in india and then move to America run an ice cream cart, plus go to college to get his MBA with no work experience for free. Then he wants to get out of college and get a job right off the bat. If you know folks who did this they must be very intereting people.

Edit: plus he is planning on doing all of this with substandard english.

He is in 10th grade, that explains a lot , once he finishes school/undergrad he will understand how things work (what is needed to get into grad school/business school), its is NOT very hard to succeed as an immigrant in America (assuming you came here legally and as a result of good scores/grades etc). Do you think kids in 10th grade here know what they want to do with their career, hell there are so many people entering school with undeclared majors 😉

dude, you need to finish high school and get into a good college ie Bombay University. I would suggest getting a part-time job at an american/foreign company in india. If you do decide to get a MBA in the US, make sure that you have all your academics scores and credits covered. As for $, your family is going to have to front the money.

I have seen too many FOB Students trying to get around the proper procedures and have been burned, taking too many shortcuts will just prolong your acedemic career.

Please do not hire any education consulting company in India. Just pick several schools in the USA and correspond with their international admissions department. They will tell you what you need in order to be admitted or accepted.

My sister's roommate came to the USA with a BBA and was hoping to get into Michigan University's MBA program which rejected here due to lack of credits and $. She had to settle for Kansas University, which has an average Business program. At KU she was given junior (3rd year) status and expected to take the aptitude test for international students (do not know the name). Well after 3 years she is still working a part time job at a coffee house and she is totally screwed up. She was not accepted to KU's mba program due to lack of experience and $.

This is typical of the indian mindset when it comes to academics. The pressure to complete once's education in a expedited manner without looking at the overall picture in terms of life skills and work experience.

This kid wants to get his masters before he turns 23. He is in 10th standard/grade so his age is ~ 15yrs. He has about 2 yrs of junior college and 3 yrs of BBA. Then if he gets into the US, add about 2-3 yrs for Masters.

I'm not even going to bother reading this whole thread, since this is what came to mind as soon as I read the title.

If you don't mind a little sticky/slimey substance in the back of your throat a couple times a day, $50 an hour is well within your reach.

akshayt,

1. The first thing you need to worry about is learning English. I know you think you have a grasp on the language, but if you came here and tried to apply to top 10 MBA's they would laugh at you.

2. Your BBA will mean next to nothing to a top 10 MBA school in the United States. You may have to spend some time here getting a BA/BS at an American university.

3. You won't be able to get into a top 10 MBA school in the US without extensive work experience. You will not be entering one directly after undergrad. The only way to work around this is if you do a combined degree such as MD/MBA which is nearly impossible to get into.

4. I don' t think you realize how much this is going to cost. The top 10 schools can easily cost in the range of 65,000-70,000 per year. In addition many state that you should not work during academic terms, especially the first year. Without better English skills, work experience, a super GMAT score, and possibly an undergraduate degree from the US, you will not be getting a scholarship.

5. If on a student visa, you are not going to be able to get a job where you can make any decent money.

Would it be possible for you to get into a top 10 MBA program in the United States? If you are smart enough, sure. However, it won't happen until you're getting close to 30 (or even older) because of all the hoops you will have to jump through.

I agree... you should focus your attention into getting into an IIM.

US is way better than IIM nah?

Also, with CA can I practice as Charterd Accountant in UK and then enter London Business School.
Also,if I work for about 2-3yrs , save money and then do MBA still by 28 I ill be in a millionaire job in India.

akshay ...

Tell me one thing clearly -

1. Do you just want to come to the US?
2. Or do you want to make money?

If its the first, then forget abt the money initially .... Unless you have work experience to back up, you'll never get the kind of money you are expecting.

If its the second, you can do that staying back in india. Getting an MBA from IIM is a lot harder and more prestigious than many of the universities here. And you get offers from companies abroad right out of school.

With the way the economy is booming in india, I'd strongly urge you to stay back and get your MBA from one of the better schools there like one of the IIMs or XLRI. Your career will move at a much faster rate.

You people are lucky. McDonalds around here only pays $5.60 per hour (minimum wage is $5.15).

But then again, we can actually buy a 5,000 sq. foot house for 200k here (Missouri), so I guess it all works out. 🙂

McDs by me pay about 6.50

i can also buy a 5k sq ft. house with .5 acres for 200k, or a 2.5k sq. ft. house with 7 acres for 200k.
