If I come to USA with a BBA from India. Can I get a part time job of 20$/hr.

Also,if my friend goes to Canada ,does Graphics ,Bachelor and Master and MBA
during the course of time how much would he get.
If he works these 7yrs in graphics and end with Master from Whinzers or something and MBA then how many dollars an hour would he get in USA?

$ 6.00 at McDonalds.

$7.00 at Jiffy Lube.

Yeah, but McDonalds require some slight qualifications and has some standards.

WTF is Whinzers? Perhaps you should learn the name of the instutition that your friend plans on attending.

Oh sh|t! 10 minutes later my mind starts working. I swear it's the lag.

He probably meant 'Windsor' when he said 'Whinzer', as in the University of Windsor. I guess hukt on foniks doesn't work.

You want to make $50 an hour? As a full time job that would translate to approximately 100k a year. Good luck making that coming right out of university (since we all know that Windsor is basically an MIT reincarnate) with NO work experience in this hemisphere. Seriously, if you work maybe 3 jobs you might be able to pull that off. CompUSA, Taco Bell/KFC and Pizza Hut would be good places to look at.

This guy again? Stay in India and learn English gooder

You can realistically expect about $27k (barely above national poverty level) to start in the US fresh out of college. Job types will include Sales, Call center, Helpdesk, and did I mention Sales?

Not trying to be biased, but you really should head back to India. With your qualifications you would be able to land a much more "meaningful" (read: management, possibly startup executive) with all of the jobs and companies that are moving their bases there. Sure, the salary would not be as nice as an executive salary in the US, but then again, you wouldn't have to worry about competing with the other 99.99% of the population with equal or better credentials & MORE experience than you.

Edit: Whoops, I thought you already were in the US. Let me retract that and say DON'T LEAVE India for the same reasons mentioned above.

As a serious response, yeh, you can maybe make that much an hour. But it's going to be contract work and you'll have to pay taxes, medicare, and SS out of pocket.

Your effective rate will be about $25.00 an hour.

check out http://www.rescuecom.com/

They pick up consultants for $50 an hour.

Without qualtiy experience, you will have a hard time finding jobs at $50/hr, let alone part-time slots.

To expect that salary level, you must have something that is in high depmand by somebody that has deep pockets.

Also, the quality of ones communicaiton with the client will have a great impact on what your value is determined to be. If the way you posted here is the way you normally communicate (grammar and spelling), the levels that you desire will not be obtainable.

Hahahaha!

You didn't mention how you are coming to the US. People on student visas cannot get part time jobs legally, unless it is with the university or an internship. University part time jobs don't pay a lot, but internships do and there are certain resctrictions on foreign students on obtaining these internships.

Professional jobs don't pay on an hourly basis, they just pay a salary (most of the time, not all)

Hate to tell you but you lost all your jobs to India.

We no longer have tech jobs here and you have to go back to India to get any computer job since they all are outsourcing them there... 😉

LMAO...

what can such a person earn at max?

You will have a very difficult time finding a job here in America. It's hard enough for US citizens much less H1 visa holders to find work. Plus you have to find out if your degree will even be recognized here.

Being a us permanent resident (green card... im european), i can tell you up front that there's ABSOLUTELY NO WAY you'll get work visa without having a company sponsor it (ie you need to have a job in the US before you get the visa)

I made about $30/hr working on wall street this summer, but that was after ~10hrs of interviews and I go to one of the best universities in this country....

QFT!

I'm on a H1B visa and if I get laid off I have to leave within 10 or 30 days (don't remember which). I can take another job unless the new employer takes over the sponsorship.
