Parking tickets

Hacp

Lifer
I got a parking ticket. I turn 18 in 3 months. Does the parking ticket go away once I turn 18???? Should I wait it out?

Parking ticket is a non-moving violation. It will not affect insurance or put points on your record.

You cannot avoid paying it by turning 18, either.

Yes. That way when you get your next speeding ticket, there will already be a bench warrant ready and waiting. Then you can spend the nite in jail, thinking how much you wished you'd just paid the ticket. OTOH, you'll have Bubba to keep you company.

Ok so what actually does get erased from your reccord after you turn 18?? Tried google but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

That can only be determined by a judge.

Geez, start listening to everyone. Parking tickets don't go on your record. THEREFORE, THERE IS NOTHING TO BE EXPUNGED WHEN YOU TURN 18.

Yes. A parking ticket isn't that serious. But if you did something REALLY stupid when you were too young to know better, the judge can decide to expunge your record so that it doesn't haunt you for the rest of your life.

OMFG that sucks bad.

Just pay the fine before they put a warrant out for your arrest and end up having to pay a lot more in court fees, higher fines, and even jail time with big bubba.

You're hopeless.

You'll probably get 3 to 4 years in prison for this parking ticket, and it can never be removed from your record. Better get your lube ready.

No judge is going to erase a parking ticket from your record, for any reason. It's just not that important.

Criminal (non-traffic) convictions for which you were tried as a juvenile. And it's not erased - it's just surpressed. If you commit another crime, it can and will resurface. Basically, this amounts to shoplifting and drug possession.
