rr: it doesnt matter.
rr: anyone can drive anyone else's car with their permission
rr:and insurance covers that too.

They basically want to put in a letter saying i was driving the car and sat in it while i was issued a parking ticket. I was just sitting in the car for someone else and not driving it. The car is not in my name. Is what the person told me true. I think tis weird they want to put down that i was driving it. They say "just sign it"

what should i really do

Do not sign anything without having it reviewed by a lawyer. Sounds like they're trying to stiff you with the ticket.

you can refuse. you should've left the window closed and ignored the cop or the traffic guy. if he left it on the windshield and didn't serve to the driver or person in the driver's seat (this case, you) the ticket can be defended by saying that the summons was never properly served because an operator was in the car at the time. at least that's the New York city way.

RR (a person from the company i was having an online conversation with)

They are trying to tell me to sign a letter saying i was driving a car i was not.

You should've said "Fvck off and die" when they asked you to sign whatever the hell they wanted you to sigh.

If i get a ticket in someone elses car cant i get pinned for driving or sitting(while on) in a car that wasnt registered to me and that i dont have insurance on.
