Besides, I didn't even do that, there was still plenty of room for cars to enter the lot. Only offense I committed was blocking a handicapped spot with the rear of my truck for 30 seconds or less, while trying to EXIT a lot. If that warrants an officer losing their temper and intimidating me with a ticket, you're probably guilty of similar and must feel that's acceptable conduct.

Dude you are making excuses for everything: "there was another truck too", "I had to block the handicap spot as any other truck would have too"

The problem you can't seem to understand is the officer was in their right to give you a ticket and seeing such a moronic move is enough to make anyone angry.

LS1 envy is hardly what I have, it's what I am looking at possibly doing to my current car. Likewise I may end up going Z06, M3 or something else.

You are a poor excuse for a professional driver.

??? a truck should be able to see his route is blocked. This only happens when a truck jumps a light or makes a turn without checking.
 
Scenario: truck must turn left. ahead and to the right is a "no truck traffic" sign. This the route the city wants you to take. Of course the city has not made it possible to make the turn without backing up the cars in the left turn lane of the street he will enter. Cars back up to allow this, or the intersection gets blocked and you turn it into a used car lot.
 
People are idiots when they drive, this thread proves it. I mean someone here was actually complaining that semis go into the middle lane when turning right. Guess what, they do that so they don't KILL PEDESTRIANS ON THE SIDEWALK.

Sometimes we make moves, in this case I'd even call it a mistake (since it wasn't absolutely necessary and you did block traffic and you knew there was a risk of that), but really.. all of us are sitting in comfortable seats, in a climate-controlled environment, with music we enjoy playing on the stereo, are you really so mad that you had to wait an extra 2 seconds that you're going to waste another few minutes getting out of your car and bitching about it?

People with road rage amuse me. If you're in that much of a hurry you should leave home earlier.
 
Hit the nail on the head. Commercial vehicles are big. That's a fact. Around here we have big tractors that use the roads to get to another field. Sometimes blocking both directions of traffic. You either go 10mph behind them or you find another route. Period.

Your scenarios are much like the OP's...you are creating excuses.

It's illegal for a car to back up on a roadway in most areas by the way.

The person that got out of their car and bitched was legally obligated to do so, it was their job.

Not sure about where you live, but parking enforcement here are exactly that. Police officers are the ones who issue moving violations. If he was driving his car she had no authority to give him a ticket, where I live.

While I understand OP's complain, I think it was a bad idea to post it on forum blaming the lady who did the job (in bad manner, but anyway). You caused that lady to overreact but you didn't get a ticket anyway, so be cool and done with it, end of the story.

Are you absolutely sure she had no authority? Please post the law in your area. Here we still have citizen's arrests.

edit: if you live here: Wenatchee, Washington....almost anywhere in the US will be MUCH MUCH different. You have no population, you are essentially a 'western town'...yippie ki yi yay!

Not only does it happen, but I've backed up state patrol, county sheriffs and city police while driving truck. They never have bothered to ticket me. ()🙂
 
You drive enough truck and sooner or later the car that backs up to let you go at a tight left turn is going to be a law enforcement officer.
They have never given a crap about it.
 
no one is saying a driver doesn't make a mistake. I think most were refering to those that force that issue every time.

However; I am sure you will have an excuse for any situation since now laws don't seem to matter.

Welcome to L.A. No those are not truck parking spots, they are taking up like 10 spaces each. And that truck in the middle is parked too. Never seen anyone complain.

And I don't drive big rigs. I have a class C only, and prefer not to drive larger vehicles. Never said I didn't make a mistake, just the parking officer completely overreacted given the situation, even if it was possible for her to legally ticket me.

I've seen a lady pull into a left turn lane as a truck was turning and block him from completing his turn. He kept motioning for her to move and she just sat and stared at him. After a couple cycles of the light went by a cop came through going the other way and waved at her to move her ass.

At the time I couldn't imagine what her thought process was to make her act so retarded, but now I know. Thanks for the enlightenment! 😀

Let me get this straight...the truck entered her lane and she just teleported in front of the truck?

No...the trucker decided to make a turn without checking if he was clear.
