Paris in....China

I think the Chinese are missing the part of what makes Paris what it is; the fact that Paris is actually not in China.

There's not too much surprise there.

The Asians don't invent much of anything...they copy things invented elsewhere.

Communism in China has a lot to do with this. But to say that as a blanket statement in general, especially historically, is well just retarded.

Why? It's true...Japan as well as China have grown rich by copying things invented by others and making them...and making them cheaper. (in quality as well as price)

Sure, if you go back far enough, my statement is wrong...but did the Chinese REALLY invent gunpowder...or did they steal the formula from the Mongolians? 😛

Well I'm not going to argue each point but historically we have:

Currently China is investing billions in education and though still behind the west they are quickly catching up in terms of numbers of published papers, original scientific research etc etc... But then someone who likes to call Asians ornamentals is a bit biased don't you think? 😛 (Not saying that I am not biased either).

The West copy Chinese medicine on mending broken bones, and used Chinese map to discover America.

Copying and technology sharing is good IMHO. However, the American is now following ancient Chinese ways of hampering progress by patenting everything include things that they stole/copied/borrowed.

Maybe it will be a gambling city like Vegas. There's an Eiffel tower here as well.

At least I hope that's the case...otherwise it's just sad.

Google maps tells me this.

Google maps said:
The Tianducheng Resort (Zhejiang Tianducheng Jiudian) is located north of Guangsha Tiandu City, connecting with the French-styled Tiandu Park in the east and close to the Mediterranean-styled Swan Lak

Couple of extra photos there as well, its quite impressive.

I showed my co-worker who is from Paris this, he was amazed. It's pretty fucking cool, I need to look more into it.
