I feel sorry for her. She was given every privilege imaginable and yet seeks solace in narcotics, among other risky behaviors. You gotta wonder what happened to her?

thats one way to look at it..perhaps one that makes you feel better😉
she can live it up, so why not. she even gets paid for it.

Why does anyone care? Stereotype bar bitches do cocaine all the time and yes they get arrested for it as well. This is not news. Nobody should care if Paris Hilton gets a new car or is run over by a car or if cocaine falls out of her car.

Obviously you have no idea what it is like to do a gagger off of the marble sink in your suite at Planet Hollywood, do some shots of tequila, then take the elevator down stairs to the roulette table.

"Solace" isnt the right word there.

This.

Pretty much everyone who has ever done cocaine describes it as being the most enjoyable thing ever. Paris isn't a coke fiend because her life is missing something; she does cocaine because she has a lot more money than all of us put together. If you had billions of dollars to spend on things that are enjoyable, you would drive a Cadillac and do coke just like Paris does.

Obviously you've never had a friend pull a Mia Wallace on you.

the law is targetting those that can pay fines not those really harming anyone.

Hoooooouuuuuu another hint at yet another conspiracy....

JFK, 911, Lunar Landing then this...

The big bad government is deliberately targeting rich people. LOL

Is that why they were after MJ?

How come Bill Gate isn't in jail yet?

Doesn't it cost money to put people in jail?

Why not make the fines dependent on the amount of money you made in the previous year?

You're right into this whore shit aren't you?

Bill Gate is smart, he has it smuggled in and/or carried by reliable lackies.

Yeah, let's just not enforce any laws at all except for violent crimes.

Really? Are you fucking kidding me?

Study after study shows that low-level crimes are what causes a society to decline to more crimes.

One of the ways they cleaned up NYC was to get rid of the peep shows, porn shops, and hookers in NYC. They then started cracking down on the most rudimentary crimes, including subway turnstile hoppers.

That alone started to clean up the city so that normal people could live here. Violent crime dropped precipitously.

You want to send a message? Lock her up for the maximum sentence, including taking prior incidents into account, without any hope of early release.

Everybody has to be treated the same.

who fucking cares? drugs are fun, she's rich and likes to have fun so it only makes sense. shit shouldn't be a crime.

lol broken windows theory?
keeping the place looking nice and keeping muggers away is quite separate an issue from porn shops and peep shows. improving economy and investment are what spruced up nyc, not smacking people down for minor offences and prudery.

i'm sure there would be almost no crime if the riaa/mpaa got to prosecute every downloader out there by your reasoning. crimes is crime is crimes!

wow, tax money spent keeping us safe...😛

country is broke...

lol so it's the cops fault for doing his job and pulling someone over for suspicion?

What if he didn't and unfortunately the driver while under the influence ran some kid over?

I know quite a few people who lived in NYC during the time. Economic conditions were fine then, yet the areas weren't. Most know exactly what happened and how. The park next to the Stuyvesant, UES, Hells Kitchen, Union Square, none were places where you wanted to be out late at night or could find prostitutes and drugs everywhere. Now you find people using wifi.

One of my coworkers, who grew up in a rough section of Brooklyn, directly attributes several run-ins with the NYPD when he was jumping the subway, among other small things, as one reason for him not getting into more major trouble.

Police appearance, as well as cutting down on petty crime, created a much better atmosphere. Much of that was also driven by local police command vans which were placed in the worst areas, keeping an NYPD presence at all times.

Bringing the dregs in and allowing petty crime is the way to allow worse crimes.

bullpucky, porn theaters don't pay super high rents, so economic conditions were not great by default. when the economy is doing good neighborhoods gentrify and people scream about the poor being kicked to the curb, you don't need the police to do it. i'm sure you can create some mythology about how broken window policing did it all, but its like saying the rise and legalisation of abortion over the last few decadess was responsible for the lower crime. its simplistic even if it is a factor.

Rent wasn't even that expensive around 2000, yet crime was declining precipitously throughout the 90s. Furthermore, that crime includes all of the boroughs, not just manhattan. Even now, there's still some porn shops in Chelsea, some peep shows around T/S. It has far less to do with "rents".

Sorry you can't handle simple logic. You don't live in NYC, work in NYC, nor do you probably know many people who have. I do qualify in all 3 categories.

All data supports my assertion, not yours. If you have something to the contrary, provide it.

same old "wahh wahh drugs aren't so bad/evil cops" routine we hear time and again. If you're so morally opposed to cops enforcing the laws as written, get off your fat/lazy internet ass and do something about it. Write a letter to your senator, stage a protest, etc. etc.

I'm not even going to bother donning a flame suit since I've already read the idiotic replies to the above umpteen times on this forum.

No kidding. Bunch of teenage angsty bitches who haven't even grown up yet.

Mostly this. Though I agree with charging the driver for driving under the influence. However the mere smell of pot should not have been enough for stopping them. Here in Vancouver the police basically turn a blind eye to pot 90 percent of the time or more for everyday use. The US should learn from this.

Lol logic, by your logic britney spears is an economics expert on los angles california and its economic/crime situation. she lives there, has friends there and works there after all!!

give me a freakin break😛 don't even talk about logic after u pull that sh*t out.

it has everything to do with rents when it comes to good times and growing economies, high rents are charged whenever possible, and "peep shows" can't afford such gentrified rents. its just a simple fact. Its a problem that fixes itself. your data doesn't support a thing you are saying anymore than the legalization of abortion is also correlelated with a decrease in crime. its simplistic nonsense.

it works on both sides. you can look at it is excessive big government/waste and entrenched unions. its a self perpetuating cycle of bs, many many people now are involved "fighting" the war and will rationalize the existence of their government jobs.

Dumb slut and blow! This thread rocks!

Fixed.

I can't believe no one posted this yet. I am disappoint.
