My Dad's family went Boy -> Girl -> Girl -> Girl

My Mom's family went Boy -> Boy -> Boy -> Girl

My brother already has four sons, so I'm a little afraid of winding up with the opposite pattern.
 
i'm the first of three daughters. Mom didn't seem to care, neither did my dad. I wouldn't have it any other way 🙂
 
I have two girls. If I had a third child I would want a girl. Boys are crap and terrible little creatures. This is just a fact. And who here can deny that the most pathetic thing in existence is a crying boy? Like a 7 year old boy crying for his mommy, it's pathetic. Girls FTW, much betterer!

3 boys here - my wife said I'm genetically wired to only have boys. 😀

And the comment regarding only children being selfish, arrogant, etc - definitely a myth.
 
4 brothers and 3 sisters. Seems pretty even distribution. My parents are Catholic fundis so no birth control. I have 3 boys then snipped my shit at 31. I have one bro who has 6 and he's only 34. What's funny is none of my sisters have any and they are 26-34...spinsters.

My mother was willing to go to 8 kids in order to have a daughter...she succeeded after only 5 children (4 boys, then finally a girl)...she's a spoiled brat...

2 boys. And, very thankful for 2 boys. The talk: "make sure you wrap it. I don't want grandkids & you don't want to be paying child support for 18 years plus half of someone's college tuition." I remember the night that 3 very cute girls were visiting my son. His bedroom door was shut, there was a lot of giggling going on. I looked at my wife and said, "That confirms that. Neither of our sons is gay."

fricken ouch. My friend had a boy, then tried again and popped out twin boys. She said even if she had a guarantee it would be a girl next time, she won't do it. 3 is the limit.

As for us we popped out twin boys and want a girl next try... I'm a pretty optimistic person. But we're also holding at 3.
 
my best friend is one of 16, there are 9 girls 7 boys, no twins. Its a huge pro life catholic family

Ha, a few years ago I went to a baseball game with a friend of mine. Right in front of us were a group of high-school aged girls who were, ah, minimally dressed, including one with very low rise pants and no underwear. My friend commented that this is why he'd much rather have boys, if your son goes around looking like a moron with his pants around his knees you can just beat him until he straightens out.

Not to ruin your joke with cruel reality....but I read an article about women who were considering this strategy in their quest for a girl. Quite sickening.

Sometimes I really hope for a son. This tends to occur mostly when I'm moving furniture. A tomboy might get job done though.

I don't know the answer to that! Probably I would guess. It's even worse over here I would think, where there is no law preventing you from multiple tries and the culture doesn't really expect the children to take care of the elderly.
