I've struggled with spelling all my life, I try very very hard but sometimes the god damn spell check doesn't catch my mistakes. Those asshat brat kids write like that on purpose!

Honestly, I think you should blame the internet and its ability to poison the mind more than the parents. Let's face it. There are a ton of adults who were raised as children in an era when the internet didn't exist that write like that on various websites today.
 
I slap my kid in the head everynight after I tuck him in to bed and give a goodnight kiss anyway. I'll pop him one extra time tonight and when he asks why I'll say "Because some dude on the intarweb said I should.".

That reason should suffice. If it doesn't I'll pop him again for good measure.
