Parents putting their kids that crap called Ultimate Fighting

MMA is awesome. Way better than boxing or karate or any of that other US bullshit. This is well rounded martial arts training and the business is blowing up. Ten years from now MMA will be huge in this country and the top athletes will be making LOTS of dough.
 
That is awesome. I would let/force 😉, my kid to join it. I started club wrestling when i was in 2nd grade. Did it through college. Started BJJ in HS, it was absolutely awesome. Kids can learn alot doing combat sports.

joining martial arts was one of the best things I did as a kid. MMA is much more fun, and more applicable when a big douchebag is picking on you.

I had a little friend growing up that also took alot of martial arts.. one time the big bully kid was picking on him, and when the bully turned around, my buddy got him in a head lock, pulled him down and choked him out till he passed out..

What amuses me is that your average fan of "MMA" is a macho, raised truck driving, backwards hat sporting, tribal tattoo toting douchebag, that sling the words "gay" and "i love you" around like they were nothing. And yet, since the era of nude Greek wrestling has there ever been a more homo erotic past time. Of course this does not apply to everyone, so don't get your Randy Couture underwear all knotted up.
