Warning: If you are sensative about kids getting hurt dont watch. Its not graphic or anything, but wow. I'm glad the video was cut short.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyS62w3ASXs&feature=share

What was this guy thinking doing something like that without a helmet for the kid. I wish i could just punch this guy through the internet.

Hopefully not a repost. I tried searching but my searchfu is weak.

What an asshole, why would he even try that. I don't care how balanced you are dropping into a bowl, you never purposely risk a child's life doing something stupid like that.

My wife wants to get a bicycle seat for our 1.5 y/o daughter, and I think even that is a really bad idea.

liam neeson's wife died of a head injury. my oldest son fell out of our bed one time and we went to the doctor that day just in case. he didn't show any signs of a head injury, but i wanted an expert opinion.

the parent is an idiot and child protective services was created just for people like this

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA....That is hardly child abuse, or any sort of neglect. It was a ride that went wrong.

I was ice skating with my four year old daughter and my wife decided to hand me our one year old from the outside the rink. I did one ten foot circle around and then handed him back, telling her it wasn't safe for me to be carrying him while on skates ... and I practically grew up on skates and very rarely fall.

Some people just don't think.

so a kid bumped his head...so what?

He'll have a goose egg and learn to protect his head when he falls. No harm, no foul.

are you seriously giving this guy a pass?

to even get on the skateboard with the kid in the first place, with NO protective gear is asinine. while i'll admit, its not really abuse/neglect, it is completely idiotic and careless with regards to the safety of the child. unless purposefully putting a child in a situation of potential danger is somehow a good thing?

Again, what is with the pussification of this world. Are kids supposed to go outside covered in bubble wrap nowadays? He was trying to show his child some fun. Obviously he didn't think he would fall, but that's why it's called an accident.

has nothing to do with pussification.
no, i don't cover my kids in bubble wrap. of course kids are going to get hurt. but i'll be fucking damn sure it won't be because im trying some idiot move like this toolbox did. There's a difference between an accident, and completely disregarding kid safety in this manner.

I promise the people wigging out aren't parents or if they are, they are helicopter parents who are doing more damage to their kids than any little bump will.

Kids get bumps and bruises. Its good for them. How would someone learn that hot is bad if the never get burned?

the guy's a dumbass, but it's hardly endangerment or anything. the kid bonked his head... he'll have a bump and lose a few brain cells... the kid's not gonna die or anything.

either way, the dude shouldn't have done something that stupid with his son without putting a helmet on the kid.

lol helicopter parents.

I have no problems with my daughter accidentally falling because she is running around and hurts herself, or even getting bumps and bruises when we let her play, but I will try my best to not to be the one harming her because of my own misjudgement. I don't consider myself a helicopter parent.

The kid fell onto concrete on his head from about 5 feet with the momentum of the father falling, on a skateboard with no helmets. This could have been a lot worse (and for all we know it might have actually caused a concussion). The father should have known better than to try it. I don't think it deserves a call into CPS as it was (hopefully) just a lapse in judgement, but I do hope it's something he feels really bad about.
