Then if my mom makes dinner and he is the only one that doesn't like it he throws a huge fit and about cries, throws stuff around and then eats it and screams how he has to work all day and come home to crap.

So, how can you disagree with him when you arn't even listing to what he's saying?

This isn't a thread crap, it just seems like I don't agree with your statement. Put yourself in your father's shoes, and try to understand where he is coming from. I think moreso I am frustrated that I never got along with my father and we don't have that close of a relationship as a result of this. I hate to see this happen to anyone else, try to calmy tell him how you feel. You will thank yourself for it when Daddy isn't there anymore.

I don't know the background of his family, but his dad's behavior certainly isn't acceptable. Someone spends time to make you food and you sit there and criticize and *throw knives*??!?!? I can understand the complaining and whining, he may just be that way. But becoming a physical danger is something I cannot tolerate. And it's something I'd fear for the rest of my family. If i put myself into his father's shoes i'd shove my foot up my ass.

Hey, I have an idea.
Why don't you move out and then you can have whatever you want for dinner.

The way I look at it, if its my damned money then it's MY dinner, not yours, MINE, so if I like meat/potatos, then you know what, we're having meat and potatos.

Seriously though dude, just grow up, be the bigger person here.
