I've tried everything... damp paper towels followed by drying it off with a paper towel.. microfiber cloths, lint-free clothes, dampened and then dry it off with a lint free cloth... no matter what I do, I always get this marble-like surface with visible streaks on it. No matter what I try, I can NOT get the LCD screen back to the way it was when it was brand new.

ARGH!!!!

Mix isopropyl alcohol with distilled water (or tap water) 50:50.

Apply to screen with clean cotton t-shirt material, and air dry.
Repeat if not totally clean the first time.
If there are streaks, THEN lightly buff with a clean microfibre cloth.

This has worked on LCD panels that people told me were "ruined".

DON'T USE PAPER TOWELS, especially not dry ones!!!

Nevermind.. I figured it out. I was using this iKlear stuff and it kept putting streaks on the screen when I dry it with their special cloth. Apparently you have to buff the screen lightly for like 5 minutes straight to polish it until it's totally smooth and crystal clear. Worked pretty well.. I still have a few very small streaks, but I'm sure next time will be better.

I just breath on it and use a microfiber cloth... of course, my lcd has never been dirty to begin with.
