Today's forecast by the National Weather service for my ZIP is a high of 92ºF.

Title altered a bit although I agree with the sentiment. Supposed to be 93 in Tallahassee today and tomorrow.

Woke up to an inch of snow here in Montana. It's chilly but beautiful and clear now with a sprinkling of snow on everything.

We need to shift the months back like 2 months.

Like we are in the beginning of October right now. With this heat, we really should be like in August. Then in another 2 months (early Dec but call it October) when it finally gets to a more consistent 70's range, that will be Fall.

Snow is pretty when it first falls, but it quickly turns ugly along the roadways...and that nasty shit is COLD!

Fortunately, we don't get much of it here. A couple of times every winter we MIGHT get a couple of inches that quickly goes away. (dammit, that's what my wife says too) :p

Fall is my favorite season. Not hot, but not cold either. Crisp air and fallen leaves, and beautiful foliage. Plus my birthday is coming up soon, and Halloween is always cool. And then you have Thanksgiving, which I guess might technically be winter? But no snow yet, and the cold hasn't set in by then.

But right now it kinda sucks. Low temperatures but the humidity has been >85% for the past couple of weeks. I've been having to drag my dehumidifer up from the basement to lower the humidity on my first and second floors.

No, winter starts just before Christmas...Thanksgiving is still autumn. (even though we've seen DEEP snow on/by Thanksgiving in years past.)

Indian summer
We should see substantive temp drops by the end of next week.

For us, temps are struggling to break 90°F most days. Just a normal 6 week period of half-hearted summer, before delicious coolness. The advent of fall is immense relief when living without ac.

39F @ 10am with a high of 52F promised here in North Idaho. It rained last night so the cloud cover kept it from getting too cold, but the drops had frozen over where the collected on the seat of my motorcycle. I may have to put it away soon, and that is the true death-knell of summer for me. I've also got the last of my tomatoes trying to ripen on the vine outside, but I guess that's not going to happen. Maybe they will ripen if I bring them inside, or it's friend green tomatoes time.

And I'm about an hour south of our northern border. I hear there is a whole n'other country up there with even colder weather. How do them S-Ka-Moes handle it?

My wife said she wanted another 2 inches, so I put it in twice...

I love fall, the leaves turn cool colors, NFL football, lower temps, less bad weather, Halloween, then Thanksgiving & Christmas are right around the corner.

I was in southwest Montana in August. I had frost on the tent two mornings.

I hate fall too, it's too wet and cold, and days get shorter so fast. When winter comes it gets dryer, so it does not feel as cold. We are close though. It's been snowing a bit lately, but still wet snow that melts when it hits the ground. If it can drop a little more it will dry up nicely. Now that I have a snow blower I say bring on the snow. :D

I want to take up snow shoeing or cross country skiing or something this year too. Need to do something outdoorsy to prevent seasonal depression. I got that last spring and it sucked. The constant darkness catches up with you after a while. If I can get up early enough and go do some kind of outdoor activity like that, at least I'll get a bit of light.

NB4 the title change.:D

Yeah, 89 here but it beats winter when I can't ride and have to do it at the gym.

lol, I'm up in New England, and there's quite a few die hards I see ride to work. I don't think I could handle temps in the single digits on a bike.

OP: Love me some fall. My baseline is always "is it snowing?" If answer == No, then no trouble found.
